## Parameters

| `project` | no | `string` | Project slug or id. Omit to use the credential or workspace default. |
| `limit` | no | `integer (≥ 1, ≤ 100)` | Max recent memories to include. Default 20. |

## Notes

- Project resolution order: explicit `project` → `X-OpenNomos-Project` header → the credential's default project → the workspace default. An invalid explicit project is an error, not a fallback.

## Errors

Rejected calls (bad input, unknown ids, rate limits) return `message` and `code`; over MCP the result has `isError: true`. See [Errors](https://mcp-docs.opennomos.com/docs/reference/errors.md).
